  • You will definately need an architect to prepare plans for new build construction and a structural engineer for major structural changes. For remodels and additions, TDC can help prepare the proper documents.

  • It’s either the general contractor or homeowner. In most cases, it’s the general contractor.

  • A permit set will take 3-6 weeks, depending on scope of work. Total cost can range between $5 to $8k.

How It Works:

Step 1: Confirm type of Set Up; Convert Drawing or As-Built Plan.

Step 2: Review project and set up pages.

Step 3: Prepare the following document:

  • Project Data/Cover Page

  • Site/Roof Plan

  • Demolition Plan

  • Proposed Floor Plan

  • Window/Door Schedule

  • Lighting/Electrical Plan

  • Reflected Ceiling Plan

  • Title 24

  • Exterior Elevations

  • Section/Construction Details/Area Calculation

Step 4: Apply TDC drawing standards and dimensions.

Step 5: Format drawing pages with custom title block.

Step 6: Fine-tune and audit drawing before final send off.
